You can listen my to my podcast on how my implementation on my project went.

  1. Isn't it amazing how ideas recycle themselves over time? I can see where a f2f PLC might have been difficult for most faculty members to participate in - however, with Web 2.0 technologies and LMS's - collaboration will be a snap. It was great to learn that you have the support of your dean and that you have a dedicated core group. This will be a slow process - positive change always takes time. Some people are slower to get on board, than others. Another say comes to mind - the group moves as fast as it's slowest member. Good luck on August 23rd and full implementation in the upcoming semesters.

  2. We are exploring PLCs at my high school right now. I have sat on the committee for the past 2 years and we now have professional development time built in for PLC teams to meet. What you're doing could be culture changing and very positive. In what ways do you see technology being used to facilitate this? Or will the PLC teams focus mainly on best practices for uses of technology in Lyman Briggs classes. Maybe I missed that. Good luck with this. It takes a ton of work, but could be extremely worthwhile. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Hi Missy,

I know we'll end up using some type of Web 2.0 technology and we are still in discussion on what we want to accomplish with it. I believe we will end up having a discussion board at minimum but probably a blog to keep our external state-holders in the loop. So far it's been a learning experience.
